An indulgent and wholesome dessert that's bursting with sweet cherries and a kick of liquorice thanks to our Cherry Liquorice Cacao Better Being Blend. Best served warm with whipped cream, yoghurt or ice-cream. You can easily use any left overs and layer the crumble amongst your favourite yoghurt in jars for a quick on the go breakfast.
Makes 6 servings
100g Rolled Oats
40g Chocolate Protein Powder, alternative: 30g cacao powder
50g Butter, alternative: Nuttelex
2tbsp Cacao Powder
80g Frozen or Fresh Cherries, de-pitted and chopped into halves
Optional: Choc Chips
Preheat a fan-forced oven to 180ºC.
In a large bowl, combine Cherry Liquorice Cacao Better Being Blend, oats, protein and cacao powder.
Rub in the butter, until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs (you could even place all ingredients into a food processor and pulse mixture) Divide mixture into two.
Pour half the crumble mixture into a lined / greased loaf or 20 x 20cm casserole dish.
Cover with cherries and choc chips, if you're chocolate lover like me.
Crumble the second half of crumble on top.
Place in the oven to bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crumble begins to golden.
Serve with yoghurt or ice cream and enjoy!
