These apple & oat dough-nuts are a go-to morning snack winner - being made with our Spiced Cinnamon Scroll Better Being Base Mix, grated apple, oat flour, coconut oil & mashed banana, they are perfectly fluffy in the inside all while being baked in the oven.
Makes 12
INGREDIENTS:
1 tsp Baking Powder
90g Oat Flour
2 large Apples, grated & drained from excess juice (~100g)
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
100g Banana, mashed
80ml Maple Syrup / Honey
60ml Coconut Oil / Melted Butter

1/2 cup Rolled Oats (to be used on the base of the dough-nut molds
METHOD:
Pre-heat oven to 180c. Grease a 12 hole dough-nut tray and sprinkle rolled oats on the base of each mold evenly
In a large mixing bowl combine all wet ingredients; grated apple, lemon juice, banana, syrup, oil and mashed banana
Add in dry ingredients; base mix, baking powder and flour, and stir lightly to combine (don't over mix)
Scoop or spoon 2-3 tbsp of mix into each of the prepared molds and bake in oven for 15 minutes or...until golden.
Remove from oven and allow to cool in tray for 10 minutes, before giving the dough-nuts a slight twist to remove.
