With Easter on the horizon and the song “5 little speckled frogs” suck in head on repeat (parent things) this past week, I knew I had to make a fresh batch of Brownies using our Dark Choc Chip Brownie Better Being Base x @betterbeingsteph topped with the beloved Speckled Easter Eggs! The result…? They lasted 2.4 seconds before they were all demolished by those in our household, but not before I managed to snap up some photo’s.
INGREDIENTS
Brownies:
85g butter
125g dark chocolate (for brownie)
3 eggs
1/4 cup coconut sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup plain flour
Topping:
1pk Speckled Easter Eggs, cut up roughly
100g dark chocolate, melted
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 160°C. Line a baking tray or two. Place butter and chocolate in a small saucepan, melt over low heat.
Remove saucepan from heat and quickly whisk in eggs, sugar, flour and base mix until well combined.
Pour in prepared dish (20cmx20cm), bake in oven for 20-25 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before cutting them into 12 pieces.
Allow to cool, before topping with more melted chocolate and Speckled Easter Eggs
